Global climate change is likely to have diverse impacts on resources and water utility operations. However, the extent and severity of specific impacts will likely differ from region to region.
For example, most of the United States will experience warmer average temperatures over the 21st century. Despite affecting the entire country, warmer temperatures will impact each region’s water resources and utility operations in different ways, often determined by local geography and water supply sources.
Due to this geographic variation, resources in this section are categorized by region. These regions include:
United States
1. Midwest
2. Northeast
3. Northwest
4. Southeast
5. West and Southwest
United Kingdom
European Union (non-U.K.)
Clicking on a region will bring you (the user) to a number of resources specific to that region. The resources have been selected to provide information on climate change impacts on water resources and utility operations. |
