On October 1, 2009, the Water Research Foundation presented a one-hour Webcast, “Greenhouse Gas Emissions – Strategies for Water Utilities.”  The Webcast focused on the published Water Research Foundation project, Greenhouse Gas Emission Inventory and Management Strategy Guidelines for Water Utilities (project #4156/order #91265).  The Webcast assisted water utilities in understanding the need and purpose for quantifying greenhouse gas (GHG) impacts of their operations, and provided the information necessary to prepare GHG inventories in accordance with accepted standards. The Webcast also provided a framework to develop and evaluate management strategies for reduction of GHG emissions and respond to the impacts of climate change.
